Monthly Paint and Sips
oils / acrylics - In this 8 week course, we will study advanced painting concepts, techniques, and strategies while improving our paintings and honing our skills. Students will work on paintings with teacher and group critique; subject matter is student’s choice. We will explore color theory and mixing, painting light and value, composition, various applications of paint, best practices and proper use of materials, painting solvent-free, and important concepts of art history. Advanced Painting
In this 8 week course, we will learn the tricks, tips, and techniques developed by the Old Masters to create realistic and vibrant paintings. We will explore color theory and mixing, painting light and value, composition, various applications of paint, best practices and proper use of materials, painting solvent-free, and important concepts of art history. We will paint from life and study the methods to create beautiful still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. All skill levels are welcome!
Tuesdays 9:30 - 12:30
Beginning Oil Painting
Chris Murray will guide you through the painting process step by step. By the end of the session, each participant will have a completed painting to take home. Bring your beverage of choice, be ready to paint, and have fun! No previous experience is needed.
All supplies are provided! BYOB.
Students must be 21+ years of age to attend this event.

Fundamentals of Painting and Drawing
“Any artist who masters the fundamentals will have no limits to personal expression.”
Join instructor Chris Murray for a deep dive into the building blocks of figurative art. In each class, we will study one of the following fundamental concepts:
Value, Form, Perspective, Color Theory, Composition/Design, Line/Texture, and Light/Optics.
We will start with a lecture, discussion, and technique demonstration, then students will complete studio work reinforcing the day’s subject. This class is open to all mediums. Learn the tools to master your craft!
